Which of the artists can boast fifty-five years of continuous concert activity at the age of seventy? Václav Hudeček yes. Which of the artists can afford their own music festival, which is celebrating its thirty-first year this year? Václav Hudeček yes. Which of the artists and pedagogues can claim to have trained musicians who are concertmasters of the most distinguished symphony orchestras? Václav Hudeček yes. Tango nuevo this time in the Bethlehem Chapel
"Many sins are committed in dancing, and therefore it is fitting for Christians to be warned about dancing," urged Jan Hus, professor of theology at Karl's teaching and preacher in the Bethlehem chapel. It's a shame that he couldn't hear the concert and see the accompanying artistic dance in Bethlehem Chapel on April 19, 2022 as part of the 30th annual Music Festival. Surely he would change his mind. Because there was music full of joy and well-being. And even that dance evoked not sensual but highly artistic experiences, even though it was tango. How is it possible? Because it was an evening in honor of Astor Piazzolla.

We are (not) children: Václav Hudeček and his youngest friends at the Music Festival
For those of us who remember, the chanting of the apprentices from the ČKD, with which they sent the communist Štěpán into insignificance in November 1989, still rings in our ears today. Their chant "We are not children" has become a timeless slogan for me. A challenge that says that the thinking, actions and often even the mind of schoolchildren more than once exceeds the boundaries that the adult world attributes to them. And then stares when everything is different. I remembered this fact repeatedly during the evening, which was TuesdayJanuary 18ththe Festival of Music Festival, spread across the entire cultural season, entered until 2022. The concert, held in the pleasant surroundings of the Prague Conservatory, presented three really very young musicians, whose performances, however, took our breath away at times.
